Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, MD, seeks a Unit Support Coordinator for the Emergency Department to support operations, maintain an orderly environment, and perform clerical duties.

The role requires a high school diploma, hospital/clinic experience, basic medical terminology, and strong communication. Schedule: part-time, two 12-hour shifts weekly (day and mid), with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months experience in a hospital or doctor's office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet and email.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations with effective communication and a clean, safe work environment.
• Process physician orders and perform general clerical duties.
