Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a paramedic/EMT/LPN for the Emergency Department at Navicent Health Medical Center. The role supports triage, rapid response, and direct patient care in a high-intensity environment.

The position is full-time (0.9 FTE), 7a–7p shifts, 36 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour. Requires EMT/Paramedic/LPN licensure and current BLS/CPR, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a college or technical school with a Paramedic, EMT or LPN degree.
• Licensed in the state as a Paramedic, EMT or LPN.
• Prior field or hospital experience as LPN, Paramedic or EMT.
• Basic life support/CPR and medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to use computer systems and understand hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and families; recognize age-specific emergencies.
• Respond to emergencies at outside entrance of Emergency Center.
• Initiate interventions for critically ill patients prior to triage.
• Document patient information clearly and timely.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and manage equipment.
