Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Health Medical Center – Emergency Department is seeking qualified ED staff for 0.9 FTE shifts (7a-7p). This full‑time role supports triage, initial assessment, and rapid interventions for diverse emergencies, requiring licensure as Paramedic, EMT or LPN and a strong foundation in patient care and teamwork.

Experience in emergency or acute care, proficiency in CPR/BLS, and excellent communication with patients and families are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a college or technical school with a Paramedic, EMT or LPN degree.
• Licensed in the state as a Paramedic, EMT or LPN.
• Prior experience as LPN, Paramedic or EMT in field or hospital settings.
• Knowledge/skills include Basic life support/CPR and safe medication handling.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and families for triage and initial care.
• Recognize age-specific emergencies and respond in the ED.
• Document patient status and rechecks accurately.
• Maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team members.
• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.
