Job summary

Trinity Health’s Mount Carmel Dublin campus is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide patient-centered care in a busy ED. You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and vital signs while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant certification, and strong communication. Shifts are 12 hours day-time, with weekends and holidays rotated. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification including basic patient care, EKG/phlebotomy and BLS required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner; provides transportation and patient escort.
• Performs visual acuity tests, eye irrigations, and equipment setups.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects lab specimens as ordered; reports observations to RN/physician.
• Performs wound care and sterile technique; removes sutures and staples (excluding facial region).
• Performs Foley care and collects specimens; conducts EKGs as needed.
• Collects and documents patient data (vital signs, weight, procedures performed) and communicates changes to the care team.
