Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of patient care experience, and EMT/paramedic/MA/CNA certification. Schedule: full-time, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., no on-call.

Qualifications

• Six months patient care experience in a health care delivery setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as an EMT, paramedic, medical assistant (MA), or certified nursing assistant (CNA).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care, assisting nursing and physician staff with patient care procedures.
• Inventories and restocks emergency department equipment.
• Collects and transports specimens such as urine, blood, and cultures.
• Assists with the admission and discharge of patients, initiates and discontinues intravenous lines, cleans and prepares examination room between patients.
• Places patients on monitors, provides wound care, assists with orthopedic procedures and other emergency room procedures as requested.
