Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Emergency Department at Baptist South on a part-time shift. You will assist Registered Nurses with patient care and daily healthcare needs, helping ensure timely and safe care in a fast-paced ED.

Under the supervision of an RN, you will support activities of daily living, collect lab specimens, monitor intake and output, and document in the electronic medical record, contributing to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.
• Associate degree preferred.

Role Overview

Baptist Health is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to the Emergency Department at Baptist South. This is a part-time shift opportunity. Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.


• Maintaining a safe environment.


• Collecting lab specimens.


• Intake and Output monitoring.


• Electronic medical record documentation.


• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
