Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) in Virginia Beach, VA. The part-time, 24-hour shift (Sun/Mon, 7a–7p) supports the Emergency Department in inpatient or outpatient settings, performing lab draws, EKGs, and assisting clinicians.

Teamwork is emphasized to deliver exceptional patient care. Base pay ranges from $20.07 to $29.88 per hour for full-time roles; additional compensation may include shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Grad Diploma or Equivalent.
• <1 year clinical experience.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire or other qualifying programs (e.g., Military Hospital Corps School, MMAC) or current students in advanced clinical programs.
• Candidates with prior Sentara ED tech job code in past two years will be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.

Job Summary:

As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) with Sentara, you can work in either inpatient or outpatient Emergency Department settings. This role is a great gateway to begin your career in the medical field. This position's primary responsibilities include lab draws, EKGs, and assisting the nurses and doctors with patient care. Job Requirements:

• Required: High School Grad Diploma or Equivalent
• Required: Clinical experience - < 1 year
• Required: EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR current students enrolled in an advanced clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy).

Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
