Job summary
Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for the Emergency Department, full-time, second shift. You will work with a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the ED RN, assisting with patient care, specimen collection, and department flow.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, Kentucky Nurse Aide certification or eligible clinical, BLS, and preferred experience in lab or patient services. Training opportunities and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or first-year nursing school clinical + validation.
- BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Labs/Phlebotomy or data entry experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist ED nurses with patient care and department flow.
- Collect, process, transport, and analyze specimens per policy.
- Demonstrate proficient use of approved computer systems and hospital tools.
