Job summary

McLaren Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ERT) to support licensed nurses in the fast-paced ED.

You will perform basic nursing tasks under RN supervision, complete arrhythmia training with a passing score, and verify competency for IV and urinary catheter placement.

This role requires a high school diploma, BCLS, EMT/Paramedic licensure, and at least six months of ED or EMT experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Licensure as EMT/Paramedic required.
• Six months ED or EMT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under RN direction.
• Complete basic arrhythmia class with 80% on written test within two attempts.
• Pass competency testing for IV placement.
• Pass competency testing for urinary catheter placement.
