Job summary

Berkshire Health Systems is seeking an ED Technician to support the Emergency Department under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role operates within the Nursing Division at Fairview Hospital, with duties aligned to patient care and unit support.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of medical setting experience (CNA/EMS preferred), a high school diploma, and CPR certification within three months.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a medical setting in either a CNA or EMS capacity preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant training course and/or EMT preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG training or receive training at FVH.
• EMT 1 and/or CNA is preferred.
• CPR certification required within three months.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in the Emergency Department under supervision.
• Work within the Nursing Division at Fairview Hospital.
• Rotate shifts including holidays and weekends; hours vary based on coverage needs.
