Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Rock Island, IL is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support our fast-paced ED team with hands-on patient care. You will work 7:30pm-8:00am across three 12-hour shifts per week, providing essential comfort and safety to patients while assisting registered nurses and clinicians.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of clinical experience preferred, and BLS certification (AHA) with hire-within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vitals and provide basic care and comfort.
• Assist with changing bedsheets, bathing, dressing, toileting.
• Support nurses and clinical team to maintain safe, efficient patient care workflows.

• Works closely with patients and provides them with basic, immediate care and comfort needs such as obtaining vitals (i.e. temperature, blood pressure, heart, and respiratory rate.
• Cleaning and changing bedsheets, bathing, dressing, and toileting patients.

Qualifications

Education:

Experience:

• At least one year of clinical experience-Preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):
