Job summary

Holzer Health System is seeking an ED Technician who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and may be assigned to other nursing units as needed to balance staff and patient needs. Duties include phlebotomy-related tasks and basic nursing support in an acute facility.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, STNA preferred but not required, completion of a phlebotomy training program, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• STNA licensure preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of the Laboratory phlebotomy training program.
• Documented competency acceptable in certain circumstances.
• After two years of full-time experience, become certified as a phlebotomy technician.
• Prior experience in a comparable acute facility preferred.
• CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• May be required to work on other nursing units according to staff and patient distribution.
• Performs other duties as required.
