Job summary

Allina Health is seeking an Emergency Department Medical Technician to provide rapid, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED. The role spans phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and patient comfort under RN supervision, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position is a part-time role based in Saint Paul, MN, offering a 8/12 day-evening rotation and every 3rd weekend. A High School diploma or GED and required EMT/CNA/Nurse licensure per state rules apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in acute health care preferred.
• EMT/CNA/Nurse licensure is required per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision; includes phlebotomy, EKG, wound care and dressing.
• Assist with grooming, hygiene, comfort, and population-specific needs as assigned.
• Prepare equipment, manage supplies, and assist with procedures as directed by RN.
• Support room turnover, patient transfers, and basic patient safety measures.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and report hazards.
