Loretto Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Technician to assist in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports the Emergency Department’s operations and patient flow, ensuring compassionate, professional service in a fast-paced environment.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and EMT B/PCT/PA or CNA certification, with six months of ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT B, EMT P, PCT/PA or CNA certification required.
• Six months of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• CPI and Team Restraints experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provides courteous service to patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
• Responds to department needs and accepts additional assignments as needed.
• Maintains desk operations including order entry, charges, supplies and telephone etiquette.
• Transports patients, lab specimens and other items as assigned.
• Follows emergency, infection control and universal precautions procedures.
• Assists in managing patients of all ages and with special needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
