Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician II under supervision to assist in patient examination and treatment. The role includes phlebotomy, EKG, rooming, and supporting physicians and nurses while maintaining documentation and infection control standards.

The incumbent will assist with discharge, help with equipment and supply management, and participate in performance improvement activities while adhering to state and federal regulations.

Formación

• Six months of related EMT/NA/MA experience or externship.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certification (California) or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients.
• Performs within scope and regulations including EMTALA, HIPAA.
• Provides competent patient care for all ages and conditions.
• Communicates clearly with health-care team.
• Documents patient care and unit activities accurately.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices.
• Demonstrates ability to use computers for documentation.
• Assists with rooming, positioning, draping, and prepping.
• Assists with discharge process under physician or nurse direction.
• Cleans equipment and ensures supply stocking; maintains clean patient care areas.
• Assists in emergency situations including resuscitation.
• Phlebotomy and EKG duties as assigned within ED.
