Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for full-time day shifts. The ED Tech will work in either inpatient or outpatient ED settings, performing lab draws, EKGs, and assisting nurses and doctors with patient care in a collaborative team environment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, less than one year of clinical experience, and EMT-B certification or acceptable alternative training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Clinical experience of less than 1 year is required.
• EMT-B certification or equivalent military hospital corps training or current advanced clinical program enrollment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab draws and EKGs.
• Assist nurses and doctors with patient care in the ED.
• Support inpatient or outpatient ED settings in a team-based environment.
