Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) at our West Bend Hospital facility. Under RN supervision, you will perform routine service duties and basic nursing procedures to ensure patient comfort, safety and smooth ED operations.

The role includes third shift (1900-0730) with weekend and holiday rotations, offering opportunities for skill growth across the emergency department and trauma center within the Froedtert network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA, Medical Assistant, or EMT.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• State of Wisconsin EMT license, MA certification, or Nursing Assistant certification required; BLS certification within 30 days.

• Under RN supervision, performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedures to care for patients in Emergency and Trauma Center.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) performs routine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort, and safety of patients in the Emergency and Trauma Center.

• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician is required.


• EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A Minimum of 1 years of EMT experience is preferred.


• EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Incumbents employed with Froedtert Health hired prior to October 1, 2007 may substitute this educational requirement with the following statement - Ability to read, write and communicate complicated verbal and written communications at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school education.


• EDUCATION PREFERRED: None.

• SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: None.

• LICENSURE REQUIRED: State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician License, certified Medical Assistant (in lieu of Medical Assistant Certification, 3 years of experience required), or State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required to be completed within 30 days.
