Froedtert Health in New Berlin, WI is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. The role involves assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care for patients of all ages with illnesses or trauma in a fast-paced ED.

The RN will collaborate with clinicians and front desk staff to ensure smooth operations, optimal patient outcomes, and adherence to safety standards. Requires Wisconsin RN licensure and ED experience.

Qualificações

Shift Details: Work 36 hours per every 6 week schedule period Holidays: Work one major, and one minor holiday Weekends: As needed to meet your 36 hours

Job Summary

Performs primary nursing functions of assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the emergency department to patients of all ages suffering from various types of illness or trauma. The RN serves as a professional role model by collaborating with clinical and front office staff, administration and other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care is delivered to optimal patient outcomes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting is required.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.

LICENSURE REQUIRED: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within one year of hire.

LICENSURE PREFERRED: Trauma Nurse Course certification (TNCC) is preferred.
