Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster, PA Main Hospital is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician (0.6 FTE) to assist the ED team under the RN. The role focuses on direct patient care, comfort, and safety in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, CPR certification, and PA clearances. Healthcare experience, phlebotomy and EKG skills are preferred. This position offers part-time hours and opportunities within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Basic computer data entry on clinical screens.
• CPR certification required.
• ACT 73 PA State Clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED patients and prepare exam areas under RN supervision.
• Support with patient transport, hygiene, and comfort.
• Maintain infection control and supply stocking in ED.
• Collect specimens and label for lab processing.
• Respond to trauma, stroke, and code activations as needed.
