Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking a patient care professional. The role includes direct patient care, responding to call lights, documenting care, and maintaining a clean, stocked environment. You will assist ED physicians, perform EKGs, IV starts, venipunctures, and CPR with Lucas during emergencies.

Qualificações

• Completion of a CNA program
• Graduate of a medical assistant program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP or equivalent regional/national accreditation
• Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician program
• Graduate of a Paramedic program
• Certified as CNA/MA/EMT or related credential per applicable state requirements

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care per routine and standards of care
• Answers call lights and directs visitors to rooms
• Documents care and maintains clean patient environment
• Starts IVs, performs venipunctures, 12-lead EKGs
• Assists ED physicians with airway management and resuscitation
• Transports non-monitored patients to inpatient units
• Performs CPR and uses Lucas during resuscitations
• Performs splinting and chest tube assistance as directed
• Maintains medical records and processes charges and orders
