Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking an experienced ED RN with 2+ years in the emergency department to join our Level 2 trauma center and stroke center.

You will provide patient care across pediatrics to geriatrics with a 4:1 nurse/patient ratio, perform IV placement, medication administration, and assist with sedation, casting, and wound care; ACLS/BLS/TCRN/TNCC/PALS certifications required.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 1 year and BLS within 30 days required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois.
• TCRN/TNCC/TNS within specified timeframes; PALS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs ED nursing duties, including initial assessment and care planning.
• Makes and documents clinical decisions to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Maintains up-to-date records and collaborates with the health care team.
