Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking a staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional patient care with a focus on ED nursing duties and collaboration across the healthcare team. The RN will perform initial assessments, develop and implement care plans, document care accurately, and ensure safety for patients and staff in a dynamic clinical environment at Carle Health in Urbana, IL.

A state RN license and relevant certifications (ACLS, PALS, BLS) are required along with a strong commitment

Qualifications

• ACLS within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
• PALS within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• H.S. Diploma/GED
• Associate's Degree

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards.
• Executes plan of care and nursing interventions; modifies plan based on continuous assessment.
• Ensures patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and reporting of hazards.
