Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department System Float. The role supports multiple units across the health system, delivering direct patient care and adapting to diverse clinical settings.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience.
Willingness to float to multiple locations within the health system.
Current Michigan RN licensure and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC).

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across units and develop individualized nursing care plans.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify potential complications or changes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team for coordinated care.
Rapidly orient to different units within the float pool and adapt to varying care protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with leadership to support quality improvement and safe patient care.
Work day and night shifts as scheduled to meet staffing needs.
