Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department System Float. You will provide direct patient care across units, adapt to multiple clinical settings, and participate in flexible scheduling.

This contingent role offers night shifts, 72 hours per month, and opportunities to gain diverse experience within a nationally recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations within the health system.
• Ability to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across units, developing and evaluating individualized care plans.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and identify changes to prevent deterioration.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams for coordinated care.
• Orient rapidly to different units and care protocols within the float pool.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and outcomes per standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to support quality improvement and safety.
• Work day and night shifts as scheduled.
