Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department System Float. The RN will work across multiple ED units within the Henry Ford Health system, providing direct patient care and flexible support to ensure continuous, high‑quality patient outcomes.

The role requires two years of nursing experience, an active Michigan RN license, and current critical-care certifications. This position offers a flexible float pool with varied unit exposure and opportunities for

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience in ED or float roles.
Willingness to float to multiple locations within the health system.
Current Michigan RN license and valid BLS/ACLS/TNCC/ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across ED units, developing and evaluating care plans.
Perform comprehensive assessments and identify potential changes in patient condition.
Communicate with patients, families, and care team for coordinated care.
Orient quickly to different units within the float pool with clinical judgment.
Maintain documentation of assessments and interventions per standards.
Support quality improvement initiatives and safe care practices.
Work day and night shifts as scheduled.
