Job summary

OU Health in Yukon, OK, seeks an Experienced RN for the Yukon Emergency Department. The role may be filled as RN I, II, or III, based on education and experience. Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Minimum qualifications vary by level: RN I (0-3 years, ADN/BSN), RN II (3-5 years), RN III (5+ years, BSN required, MSN preferred). BLS required; Oklahoma RN license or eNLC.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute operating room environment or RN residency program can substitute.
• License/Certification/Registration: Current RN License (Oklahoma or eNLC). BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Assists physician in examination and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medication as prescribed and manages IV infusions/blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely, communicates care plan to patient/family.
• Fosters growth mindset through mentorship and maintaining licensure.
• Develops personal career plan and aligns with department metrics.

Education
