Job summary

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) for the Second Shift at West Chester Hospital. The ED RN will support the ER and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality patient care in line with standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current OH RN License.
• 2 years ED or ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises, and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members and patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit's standards of practice.
• Communicates formulated plan of care to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care and demonstrates ability to establish priorities based on patient needs.
• Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment and involves family in assessment and continuing care.
• Identifies and responds to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems or religious/cultural norms.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting unit needs.
• Nursing process is documented accurately and concisely per policy.
• Acts as a resource person and mentor for new personnel and staff on the unit.
• Supports personal professional development and contributes to the professional development of peers.

Education

Associate's Degree, minimum

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
