Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling and requires best-practice nursing care, from assessment to discharge, within a fast-paced ED setting.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care with the care team, maintaining patient safety and accurate EHR documentation, and adhering to department policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN provides care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
