Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Hillsboro, OR is hiring an experienced registered nurse for the Emergency Department. Under general supervision you will assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients and coordinate care with other health disciplines.

This part-time, night-shift role requires an accredited nursing degree, Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months. Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience; one (1) year in Emergency Department preferred.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale cert within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess multi-system needs and plan individualized nursing care.
• Coordinate patient care activities with hospital departments and community agencies.
• Document care and implement physician plans of care per policy; manage meds and emergencies.
