Job summary

Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCH Emergency Department. You will provide safe, age-appropriate direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and operate within the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope of practice.

ACLS, TNCC and PALS certifications are required within six months of hire; prior ED experience is preferred, and CEN is welcomed.

Qualifications

• ACLS, TNCC and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Previous ED nurse experience preferred; will train qualified RN depending on level of previous acute care experience and hospital need.
• CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate direct and indirect patient care.
• Practice within the scope of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Provide care for a wide range of emergency department patients, from non-critical to emergent situations.
