Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department Night Shift. This Level II Trauma Center offers a fast-paced environment with patient-centered care and teamwork across disciplines.

The role requires 36 hours per week, nights 7pm–7am, with opportunities to develop specialized nursing skills via nurse-driven protocols and a strong commitment to safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate
• BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.

Position Purpose

At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center. This unit is a primary stroke center and is a pediatric receiving facility. The unit is consistent of 46 beds, 8 of which are emergency behavioral health beds. You will engage with staff from the unit and build relationships and learn different types of nursing and become savvy with new skill sets.

In this critical role you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, play an active part in unit shared decision making, and enjoy practice autonomy using nurse driven protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate
• BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience: 1-3 years of Emergency Services experience. Emergency Department experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Full time – 36 hours – Nights 7pm - 7am
