Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Night shift (7p–7a) in the North Region. The RN will provide professional nursing care, conduct assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain medical records while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or equivalent license to practice in Texas.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS may be required based on unit.
• One year of recent hospital ED experience is preferred within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care according to the nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team; administers clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team; supports positive patient outcomes through data, evidence and standards of care.
• Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement and meeting department goals.
