Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a Staff Nurse-Inpatient for the night in-house registry. The nurse delivers comprehensive care to acutely ill patients, coordinating with the care team through the nursing process.

Responsibilities include data collection, care planning, collaboration with physicians and families, and adherence to ANA standards. The role requires BSN, IL RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC credentials within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current Illinois RN license required.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, defines outcomes, and coordinates care.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistants in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents detailed care plans.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plan.
