Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ED treats 300–400 patients daily in a Level I Trauma Center, with expanded beds and pediatric units.

As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, implement care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (PA)
• BSN or higher-level nursing degree required
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Incorporates mission and values into planning patient care.
• Functions as a team member within the health care team.
• Performs patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions.
• Evaluates progress and adapts the care plan.
• Collects and manages comprehensive patient data.
• Educates patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Leads and coordinates care across disciplines as needed.
• Ensures safety, privacy, quality, and teamwork in practice.
