Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. The ED handles 300–400 patients daily, including acute and chronic issues, with a Level I-accredited trauma center.

Rotating weekends, on-call requirements, and 36 hours per week. Ideal candidates hold a BSN and PA RN licensure, with BLS certification and nursing residency or equivalent experience.

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking an experienced ED Registered Nurse to join the team our team! Each day our Emergency Department treats 300 to 400 patients with chronic and acute issues, ruling out life threatening conditions and intervening when necessary to stop the progression of acute processes. The team sees everything from sore throats, ear infections, lacerations and broken bones to more serious conditions like stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest, and traumatic injuries from motor vehicle and farming accidents, gunshot wounds and stabbings. Lancaster General Hospital, a Level I-accredited Trauma Center, recently completed a major expansion and remodel of the ED that nearly doubled the size of the department, from 63 beds to 95 beds. This includes 10 beds in our updated and expanded behavioral health unit, and 13 dedicated pediatric beds.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• RN licensure is required, issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN or higher‑level nursing degree is required.
• Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
• CPR Certification - American Heart Association AHA Basic Life Support, formerly Healthcare Provider AHA Heart Saver courses for CPR are not accepted required within 30 days of hire.
• A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
• As outlined in unit‑based Plan for Provision of Care.
