Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year nursing program at an accredited school.
• Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification and de-escalation training required; ACLS and TNCC/PALS as applicable.
• Experience in emergency department settings or procedural areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data with patient/family involvement.
• Perform initial assessments based on presentation.
• Document nursing plan of care and patient progress.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address patient needs.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met on the unit.
