Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a Registered Nurse in Overland Park, KS, to provide direct patient care in a full-time capacity. The role includes conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Eligible clinicians can advance through the Clinical Ladder, with salary adjustments based on experience, advancement level, and program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if experience compensates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly update them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust as needed to improve patient health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to care team to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions.
