Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a day shift. The position offers full-time hours with a three 12-hour shift pattern (7a-7:30p) and every other weekend, with holiday rotation. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold PA RN licensure upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and manages the care of designated patients.
• Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment course.
• Participates in performance improvement processes.
• Utilizes technology to optimize care delivery.
