Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at the Macungie Neighborhood Hospital on a part-time daytime schedule. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting within the Lehigh Valley region.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with physicians and the care team, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program; current PA RN license.
• Ability to organize and prioritize patient care.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Coordinate patient and family education throughout treatment.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and safety initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to new colleagues and interns.
