Job summary

San Benito Health Care District is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced ED in Hollister, CA. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while responding to clinical changes and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Requires California RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIHSS certifications, and 1 year acute and ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current California RN license.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required.
Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience preferred.
Successful completion of required department competencies and orientation.
Basic computer skills; triage experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to patients across all ages and acuities.
Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments and monitor responses.
Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring and respond to changes.
Assist physicians with emergency procedures and critical events.
Educate patients and families on treatment, medications, and pain management.
Coordinate care and communicate with the healthcare team.
Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in performance improvement.
