Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses for its Emergency Department. Multiple schedules available including full time, part time, and per diem with 12-hour shifts. Pay ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour, with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include safe patient care, teaching patients and families, and rapid communication with physicians. CMH emphasizes competitive benefits and compliance with EMTALA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; adhere to EMTALA regulations.
