Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This role provides direct patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians to monitor patient conditions.

We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules with Day and Night shifts; 3 X 12 hour shifts are typical. Compensation ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour, with sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
