Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Central Maine Healthcare, is seeking Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department. The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem positions with 3 x 12-hour shifts. Pay ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour, with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for those with 2+ years of acute care RN experience.

Qualified candidates will have an RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and arrhythmia interpretation training; ER experience preferred. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to patients in the Emergency Department; communicate with physicians about changes in condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
