Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state
• BLS certificate required on hire and maintained
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire
• PALS and/or ENPC certificate within 30 days of hire
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year ER/acute care hospital experience; ER setting preferred
• CEN certification preferred
• BSN preferred
• MICN within 12 months of hire
• NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintained
• TNNC within 12 months of hire required

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation)
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

Education

Current and valid state RN License

BLS certificate on hire

ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire

PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire

Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred

Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

MICN within 12 months of hire

NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required
