Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking a Department Supervisor I - ED to lead the Emergency Department Registration team and ensure a superior patient experience from arrival through discharge.

You will mentor staff, manage daily operations, and partner with leadership to drive workflow improvements, while ensuring compliance with hospital standards and providing ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience as a work leader, team leader, or project manager.
• OR 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise caregivers in daily operations.
• Maintain staffing levels.
• Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
• Provide leadership and training.
• Coordinate orientation and education.
• Analyze workflow and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
• Ensure cross coverage.
• Develop an effective work team.
• Encourage and support morale building activities.
• Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.
