Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Department Hospitality Partner to support patient experience, food & nutrition, and environmental services within the hospital's ED. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming environment, and collaborating with clinical staff.

The position emphasizes empathy and professionalism in a sensitive setting, with duties covering ED floors, patient dining, and coordination across support services.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Services (25%): Respond to housekeeping requests, maintain stock of cleaning supplies, police restrooms, and communicate between clinical staff and Environmental Services.
• Food & Nutrition (25%): Communicate with staff regarding patient diets, restock pantry items as needed.
• Patient Dining Associate/Patient Partner (25%): Provide one-on-one customer service, round on patients to explain diets, handle service recoveries, and prioritize patients with long waits.
• Other (25%): Assist in decluttering ED, build relationships with support services, perform other duties, adhere to organizational standards.
