Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support direct patient care in the Emergency Department. You will assist with daily activities, monitor patients, and collaborate with licensed staff to maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

The role includes basic nursing tasks delegated by the RN, data collection, and use of handheld devices for documentation. Night shift hours and dynamic ED demands are expected.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals may work with a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a diploma/ GED to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care.
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and communicate emergencies to a clinician.
• Perform basic nursing tasks delegated by the RN, including glucose tests, urine dipstick, and simple specimen collection.
• Maintain supplies, document vital signs and intake/output, and ensure patient safety.
