Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join the Emergency Department team. You will support RNs and providers by setting up for patient exams, stocking supplies, and assisting with procedures.

The role offers a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week with day shifts and weekend rotations. As a Paramedic, you will evaluate patient acuity, start IVs, monitor cardiac status, manage airway needs, and participate in resuscitations.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Paramedic certification in state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS if ED or pediatric population.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience or 12–18 months in an educational program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acuity level and match patient care needs to unit resources.
• Perform basic patient care: positioning, phlebotomy, ECGs, spinal precautions, IVs.
• Monitor cardio-vascular status and assist with manual/automatic monitoring.
• Perform airway management within scope and guidelines.
• Participate in resuscitations and ongoing patient assessment.
• Document assessments, care plans, and discharge planning per policy.
• Communicate patient status changes to charge nurse and physicians.
