Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Paramedic at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Lancaster, NH. You will be part of the ED clinical team, provide quality care, and potentially accompany EMS on transfers based on acuity.

The role requires NH and national paramedic licensure, NRP/MOAB within one year, and ongoing certification updates. The anticipated hourly range is $27.27 to $36.83, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Paramedic Program.
• NRP Certification required, must be obtained within one year of employment.
• MOAB required within one year.
• Current licensure as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
• Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Care Provider in the State of New Hampshire.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS certifications required prior to employment; Critical care course completion within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates current clinical competence and excellence in clinical practice as outlined in skills competency tool.
• Accepts responsibility and accountability for his/her own clinical practice while functioning as a Paramedic in the ED.
• Identifies and reports Risk Management situations; completes Occurrence Reports with details.
• Coordinates the in-hospital interdisciplinary plan of care with ED physician and ED RN.
• Administers medications according to state and hospital formulary; monitors effects and adverse effects.
• Triages patients using the ESI model and initiates orders per protocol.
