Job summary

North Country Healthcare seeks an experienced Emergency Department Paramedic to join the AVH ED team in New Hampshire. The role follows NH EMS protocols and hospital standards, reporting to the ED Manager and Director.

Development opportunities include cross-coverage with EMS transfers and ongoing clinical excellence. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a Paramedic Program, holds NREMT-Paramedic and NH EMS Provider licensure, and maintains BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS with critical care training within

Qualifications

• Graduate of Paramedic Program.
• Current licensure as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
• Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Care Provider in NH.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS certifications required; critical care course within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence and excellence in ED practice.
• Accepts responsibility for own clinical practice in the ED.
• Identify and report risk management situations; file occurrence reports.
• Assist physician and ED team in treatments and procedures.
• Triage ED patients using ESI and notify ED RN/physician of critical findings.
• Input physician orders into Order Management system; perform waived tests as needed.
• Document all pertinent information in patients' medical records accurately and legibly.
• Transport patients between departments while maintaining essential care.
• Adhere to infection control practices and hospital policies.
